I. Guru Santhosh, an alumnus of M. Tech. (Manufacturing Science and Engineering) – (2020-22) from the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST) is selected for a prestigious joint PhD program of Australia-France Network of Doctoral Excellence (AUFRANDE). This program is being funded by the COFUND, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), Horizon Europe, European Union and will be operated by the École Nationale Supérieure D’Arts et Métiers (ENSAM), Bordeaux-Talence, France and the University of Sydney, Australia.
During this doctoral program, Mr. Guru will perform research on additively manufactured architectured materials aimed for various structural engineering applications. He will develop post treatment routes that will enhance the mechanical properties during static as well as cyclic loading conditions. His work would also involve understanding the mechanics of plasticity during these deformation processes.
As part of his M. Tech. (Manufacturing Science and Engineering), he carried out research titled “Effect of tempering temperature on microstructure and mechanical properties of additively manufactured AISI H13 tool steel” under the supervision of Prof. Koteswararao V. Rajulapati (SEST-UoH) and Dr. Gururaj Telasang (ARCI, Hyderabad).
Hearty congratulations to Mr. Guru Santhosh and best wishes to him in all his future scientific pursuits!!
