Ramachary-Bressy-Wang [3+2]-Cycloaddition Reaction: Synthesis of Fully Decorated 1,2,3-Triazoles as Potent Anticancer and EGFR Inhibitors is an article recently published in the Journal of Molecular Structure [https://doi.org/10.1016/j.molstruc.2022.132975]. What’s more interesting is that this work uses one of the organocatalytic click reactions developed at the School of Chemistry represented by Professor D B  Ramachary laboratory at the University of Hyderabad.

Prof. D B Ramachary

Professor Ramachary shares, “Every year cancer touches around 20 million people all over the world instigating expiries estimated in millions. Undesirably, a number of new cancer cases are still growing and approximately 30 million people will be recognized with carcinoma by 2040 in well-developed nations. Therefore, the use of new cancer treatments or active drugs has always been the utmost requirement and task for the current medicine”. I am happy that our reaction is being used by fellow researchers in identifying treatments for this. We have simplified the organocatalytic click reaction in such a way that the process is economical and sustainable, he added.
