The Mizo Alumni of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and the present ongoing students of the university – Mizo Postgraduate Students Union have contributed Rupees 70000/- for charity during the month of December 2023. The money has been given as a Christmas and New year gift to five families in need in Mizoram by the students and the Alumni members on 21st and 28th December 2023.
The families to whom the charity has been given are families who have serious health difficulties such as cancer and old age and are continuously in need of monetary assistance.
There are around 130 Alumni of UoH in Aizawl. It is a tradition that every year, with the coordination of the ongoing students and the Alumni, donations are made to lend helping hand to people who are in need.
