The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) successfully organized a two-week Refresher Course on Research Methods (Interdisciplinary) from 20 July to 1 August 2026. Coordinated by Prof. C. Raghava Reddy, Head, Centre for Knowledge, Culture and Innovation Studies, the programme brought together educators and researchers from diverse academic backgrounds to explore modern, interdisciplinary approaches to inquiry.
The course featured an array of distinguished faculty and resource persons spanning the social sciences, humanities, sciences, and management disciplines. Designed to broaden methodological perspectives, the sessions covered key themes such as research methodology, feminist frameworks, qualitative and quantitative design, machine learning applications, publication ethics, and the critical role of humanities in contemporary academia.

- Epistemology & Foundations: In-depth explorations of ontology, epistemology, and foundational research traditions.
- Methodological Approaches: Deep dives into feminist methodology, positionality, qualitative ethnography, fieldwork, quantitative modeling, and experimental design.
- Modern Tools & Interdisciplinary Inquiry: Special sessions on mixed methods, AI, data mining, and Science, Technology, and Society (STS) Studies.
- Academic Integrity: Dedicated focus on building a vibrant research culture in universities while upholding publication ethics and academic integrity.
