The NSS Cell of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) organized a cleanup drive on the premises of the School of Medical Sciences on November 29, 2025, in collaboration with the horticulture and sanitation departments.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, who engaged in cutting and removing unwanted plants, branches, and bushes. They also swept dry leaves and cleared waste around the building.

The collected waste was transported to the dump yard using a tractor, leaving the surroundings of the old School of Medical Sciences building clean, fresh, and well maintained.

Dr. B. Krishnaiah, NSS Coordinator, guided and motivated the volunteers throughout the activity. Despite being busy with preparations for their end-semester examinations, the volunteers earned appreciation for their dedication and sincere efforts toward improving the campus environment.

The initiative truly reflected the NSS spirit of community service, fostering environmental sustainability and community engagement. Volunteers expressed that their collective effort contributed to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for the campus community.

Such active participation inspires others and reinforces the NSS motto “Not Me, But You” as not just a slogan but also a meaningful way of life.
