The NSS cell at University of Hyderabad participated in the CRY Walkathon on 21st January 2024 at Necklace Road, Hyderabad organized by the Child Rights and You (CRY) during the ‘National Girl Child Week.’
The NSS volunteers joined this event to raise awareness and support for the rights and well-being of the girl child fostering a society where every girl can thrive in its life. This walk was intended to create brighter paths for India’s girls.
Dr. Bhimsingh, the programme officer of NSS unit-II accompanied and supervised the programme. Ms. Shikha Goel, IPS officer flagged off the walkathon. Mr. John Robert, the Director of CRY spoke on this occasion and thanked everyone for supporting the good cause of the CRY. Ms. Shravya Varma, film producer; “She Team” personnel, Telangana State, and Girl children from the marginalized sections of Hyderabad, participated in the programme.
