Prof. Nagaraju Gundemeda, Professor at the Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad, has been selected as one of the members on the Editorial Advisory Committee of Sociological Bulletin, SAGE Publishing.
SAGE Publishing is an independent publishing company founded in 1965 in New York by Sara Miller McCune and now based in Newbury Park, California. It publishes more than 1,000 journals, more than 800 books a year, reference works and electronic products covering business, humanities, social sciences, science, technology and medicine.
Prof. G. Nagaraju has carried out extensive research on teacher agency in primary schools, schooling for girls, discriminatory practices in schools, and the social context of learning and achievement in elementary education. His areas of teaching and research interests cover the sociology of education, youth, and of India. He is also engaged in national and international projects on the comparative sociologies of schooling and anthropology of youth cultures in contemporary India. His publications cover the sociology of education and youth studies.
