Ritapriya Nandy, a PhD candidate from the Centre for Regional Studies, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad, working under the supervision of Dr. Salah Punathil, presented a paper titled  “Marriage Across Borders: Contours of Belonging at the India-Bangladesh Border” at the 14th Modern South Asia Workshop 2024 held in Kathmandu, Nepal and organised by the South Asian Studies Council and Yale MacMillan Center at Yale University. 

The workshop consisted of a cohort of 19 participants from across the world working on topics of current interest in modern South Asian Studies, stimulating scholarly dialogue with peers as well as faculty members across the globe. Ritapriya was funded by the South Asian Studies Council to participate in the workshop.
