Ms. Nalin Venkat Sameera, an I.M.Sc Chemical Sciences student, has been selected to receive the Chennupati and Vidya Jagadish Endowment Fund to do a short-term project at the Research School of Physics and Engineering (RSPE) at the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra. ANU is ranked 20th in the world according to the 2018 QS World University Rankings. She will be working in the Department of Electronic Materials Engineering during May-July 2018.

The endowment fund was established by Prof. Chennupati Jagadish, a renowned Indo-Australian physicist in 2016. The objective is to enable students and researchers from developing countries to pursue research work at RSPE, ANU. This year, five other students got selected from IIT-BHU, IISc, IISER Trivandrum and CUSAT.

Ms. Sameera is in the 4th year of the Integrated Master’s program at the School of Chemistry. During her coursework, she has done a summer project on the energy transfer between quantum dots and J-aggregates at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, under Dr. Moloy Sarkar.
