Srividya Angara Sinha
is a scholarship offered by the Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF), USA, to provide financial support for Indian students to pursue international research and professional internships. Under the aegis of the Academy of Classical and Folk Arts she conducted a four-day workshop in Kuchipudi dance, a lecture-demonstration on Dance Appreciation for their Department of Education, finally culminating in a traditional Kuchipudi recital titled “Paddhati”. She says, “A week-long stint at the renowned Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, one of India’s premier engineering and technological institutions bringing Kuchipudi into focus for wellbeing and fitness was a most satisfying experience for her”.
Her journey with teaching Kuchipudi at the IITs began with IIT Hyderabad, when they invited her as Guest Faculty in 2024 and 2025, to teach a minor course in Kuchipudi basics as part of their Liberal Arts department’s mandatory credits’ structure.
Srividya Angara Sinha is a distinguished Kuchipudi dancer, choreographer, and educator with over three decades of experience in the field. A gold medalist in Performing Arts (Kuchipudi) from the University of Hyderabad, she combines her passion for dance with a background in Computer Science Engineering from VNRVJIET, Hyderabad.
