A 10 day Drawing Workshop was organized by Tanmay Santra, Assistant Professor in Painting, Department of Fine Arts, S N School of Arts & Communication, University of Hyderabad (UoH) from 7th – 16th August, 2019. About 30 students from 1st Semester participated in the workshop.
Drawing is recognized as the basic form of expression within the visual arts. Drawing is often exploratory, with considerable emphasis on observation, problem-solving and composition.
This workshop aimed to encourage all the freshers to join and explore “drawing” as a process of making, as well as a unique means of communication. The 10 days-long workshop was interactive in nature; and there were slide shows, discussions, interactions, creation of drawing, and finally culminated in a 3 days-long display of drawings in the school.
