T Pushpalatha, Centre for Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS), University of Hyderabad (UoH) won the best Paper Presentation award at the National Seminar on “Current trends in Atmospheric and Oceanic Processes related to Climate Change Studies – CURTAIN RAISE” held during September 18-20, 2024 at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
Pushpalatha, a diligent researcher under the mentorship of Prof. P. Sreenivas, has made significant strides in her study of the impact of global warming on the Bay of Bengal Ocean circulation. Her work has shed light on the modulations in air-sea interactions and their consequential impact on cyclo-genesis over the Bay of Bengal.
The National Seminar “Current Trends in Atmospheric and Oceanic Processes Related to Climate Change Studies – CURTAIN RAISE,” is organized to amalgamate active researchers in Ocean and Atmospheric sciences to understand the underlying Ocean and Atmospheric processes and their socioeconomic impacts in the context of climate change. At this event, Scientists and young researchers from different organizations presented their research findings. The seminar also commemorates the 75-year celebration of the inception of the Department of Meteorology and Oceanography of Andhra University.
