Tejaswi Gopi, an alumna of the Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) who completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (2020–25) at the University of Hyderabad, has secured a doctoral position at the School of Politics and International Relations, Australian National University (ANU). This position is fully funded by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship, awarded by ANU.

Her doctoral research focuses on the linkages between electoral participation and political outcomes for marginalised groups, with a particular focus on persons with disabilities, using a comparative perspective. Notably, Tejaswi was a finalist for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship (2024–25) and a recipient of the John Poynter Scholarship.
