The University of Hyderabad proudly celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2025 on Thursday, May 15, 2025. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. B. J. Rao as the Chief Guest, Registrar Dr. Devesh Nigam, Finance Officer Shri B. Srinivas, Dean Students’ Welfare Prof. V. Srinivasa Rao, In-charge Physical Education and Sports Dr. Anjeneya Swami Kare, and Students’ Union Sports Secretary Mr. Mangpithang Haokip.
Faculty Team Winners
The Department of Physical Education and Sports organized a series of sports and games competitions for students, staff, and faculty, featuring 50 events for students, 28 events for staff and faculty, and 2 events for students with visual impairments. These events took place from February to March 2025 and included team games, individual events, and track and field competitions among different schools of the university.
Staff Team Winners
During the Annual Sports Day, guests distributed prizes and certificates to meritorious students, staff, and faculty. A total of 500 students and 100 staff/faculty members received prizes for their outstanding performances.
