Faculty members and the Registrar of the University of Hyderabad actively participated in the “Viksit Bharat@2047” workshop at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad, Telangana on December 11, 2023. The event, organized by Niti Aayog and Raj Bhavans of all states, was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the presence of Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan through virtual mode. The workshop aimed to involve the youth in shaping the vision of the ambitious ‘Viksit Bharat@47’ program.
Honourable Governor of Telangana, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan urged the youth to contribute their thoughts on how a developed India should appear in 2047. She encouraged active participation through the mygov.in portal, emphasizing the need for educational institutions to organize events fostering discussions and guiding students in submitting their ideas. The workshop included discussions on empowering youth and fostering innovation through science and technology.
Vice Chancellors, Directors, and faculty members from various higher educational institutes of Telangana, including UoH faculty members, engaged in open dialogues. Professors M.J. Swamy, Prakash Babu, Debashis Acharya, Samrat L. Sabat, Arul Mozhi, Pammi Pavan Kumar, J. Bheemaiah, Jai Prakash Gautam, and J.S.R. Prasad, along with Registrar Dr. Devesh Nigam, represented the University of Hyderabad at the workshop.
