The Centre for Digital Learning, Training & Resources (CDLTR) at the University of Hyderabad today launched two Online Certificate Courses.

The online courses “Samsadhani Praveshikka: Learning Sanskrit Using Computational tools”, and “Advanced Malariology: Biology of Parasitism and Drug Resistance” were launched by the Vice-chancellor, Prof. J. Anuradha.

Welcoming the gathering, Director, CDLTR Prof. Salman Abdul Moiz said the launch of the two courses marked a beginning in the launch of several other courses that would be offered by experts in their respective disciplines. “The idea is to take UoH’s expertise to the world through online courses. We will soon be launching online programmes at both the UG and PG level,” he said.

Prof. Vasuki Belavadi, briefed the gathering on SwayamPrabha—a bouquet of 40 DTH educational channels launched by the Ministry of Education and urged faculty members to launch their courses on the platform. The SwayamPrabha courses are also available for free on YouTube for free, he said.

Prof. Anuradha also inaugurated an additional video recording studio at CDLTR. The university will soon conduct faculty development programmes in a sequential manner to enable all its faculty members to launch online courses, she said.
