CELS, UoH Celebrates 14 Years of Academic Excellence!

The Centre for English Language Studies (CELS), University of Hyderabad, marked its Foundation Day Lecture 2025 on Nov 18 with a thought-provoking talk by Dr. Pramod Sah, Honorary Associate, Open University, UK. He is also recognised as the first Nepali applied linguist to be listed among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in the field.

The talk highlighted some ethical concerns while undertaking language research and how to recognise and articulate voices of resistance in research participants. The lecture was followed by an engaging discussion.

A day earlier, Dr. Pramod Sah also interacted with the research scholars and spoke about the nuances of abstract/paper submission to academic journals of repute. CELS had two days of active and insightful discussions which will pave the way for better research and publications in the coming years.

Since 2011, CELS has invited visionary speakers to shape global dialogues in English Language Studies.
