Mr. Byasadev Padhan, an alumnus of the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been appointed as an Assistant Director in the Department of Planning and Convergence, Government of Odisha.

Mr. Padhan completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof. S Raja Sethu Durai and has secured 2nd rank in the Assistant Director in planning examination conducted by the Odisha Public service commission.
Mr. Padhan expressed his gratitude to the Dean, School of Economics, and all his professors for their continuous support, guidance, and encouragement during his time at the University. He said that whatever he is able to achieve is deeply rooted in the values instilled in him and training received at the school.
Mr. Padhan feels it is an honour to be associated with the University of Hyderabad.
