The Department of Theatre Arts, SN School of Arts & Communication, University of Hyderabad (UoH) is proud to announce its successful participation in the silver jubilee edition of Bharat Rang Mahotsav (BRM) 2026. Organized by the National School of Drama (NSD) and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the festival is widely recognized as the largest theatre festival in the world. Established by the National School of Drama, Bharat Rang Mahotsav was created to stimulate the growth and development of theatre across the country. Now in its 25th year, the 2026 edition celebrated a “Silver Jubilee” of artistic excellence, featuring diverse performances, workshops, and exhibitions from across the globe.

Representing the university on this prestigious global stage, the student ensemble delivered powerful performances of their production, “Ek Khoon Sau Batain 2.” The play was directed by Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, under the guidance of Mr. Rajiv Velicheti.

A Journey from Hyderabad to the National Capital
The production was selected as part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the festival, securing two high-profile showcases:

February 8, 2026: A performance in the Hyderabad chapter of the BRM, to a packed auditorium at Ravindra Bharathi and an enthusiastic local response.

February 13, 2026: A premier showcase in Delhi, the heart of the festival, where it was met with critical acclaim from veteran theatre practitioners and national audiences alike.

Reflecting on the achievement, Rajeev Ranjan, the director of the play emphasized the importance of this exposure for the next generation of artists:
