Dr. O. Sivasankar Prasad, University Librarian (I/c), University of Hyderabad, participated as a distinguished panellist at the Awareness and Engagement Program (CAEP) 2026 – Hyderabad Edition, organized by Clarivate on February 10, 2026 at the Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel.

Themed “Reimagining Research with AI, Analytics & Integrated Intelligence,” the program brought together research leaders, librarians, and academic administrators to deliberate on AI-driven research workflows, unified research intelligence, research integrity, responsible rankings, and the transformation of library ecosystems in the digital era.

He was a panellist in the session titled “Scaling Research Post-ONOS: Challenges, Impact, and Expectations.” The discussion was moderated by Mr. Mahesh Bangali, Director (APAC), Clarivate, and included representatives from premier institutions such as IIT Hyderabad, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Sreenidhi University, and Institute of Public Enterprise.

During the panel, he highlighted the operational and discovery workflow challenges faced by research-intensive government institutions during the transition to ONOS, issues related to researcher preparedness, and the evolving implications of functioning without Web of Science for research discovery, evaluation, benchmarking, and institutional decision-making.

The interactive session concluded with reflections on the critical capabilities required for Indian institutions to scale research responsibly and sustainably in the post-ONOS landscape. Dr. Prasad’s participation reaffirmed the University’s proactive engagement in national-level dialogues on research intelligence, AI integration, and library innovation.
