Twenty-five students from the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Shadnagar, actively participated in a comprehensive three-day workshop and demonstration on Molecular Biology Techniques. This initiative was led by Prof. Kota Arun Kumar, Head of the Department of Animal Biology.
The programme commenced with an in-person teaching session on Saturday, 22nd August, followed by practical laboratory training on 24th and 25th August in the School of Life Sciences (SLS). Additionally, the students visited the common research facilities in SLS, facilitated by Mrs. Monica Kannan, Scientific Officer.
The workshop was organised and led by Prime Minister’s Research Fellows (PMRF) – Ms. Bharathi Bhogapurapu, Ms. Hema, Ms. Sristishila Baruah, and Mr. Siranjeevi Rangaraj – as part of their TAship activities.
The PMRF scholars extend their sincere thanks to the administration of the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College for Women for their permission and cooperation.
They also express heartfelt gratitude to their respective supervisors, the Head of the Department of Animal Biology, Prof. Anand Kumar Kondapi (Dean of the School of Life Sciences), and Prof. Suresh Yenugu (Coordinator, Skill Development Centre), for supporting this activity. Additionally, they thank the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and the Ministry of Education for their invaluable support and for providing this opportunity to mentor the next generation of researchers.
