Akhil Raju, a research scholar in the School of Management Studies at the University of Hyderabad under the supervision of Professor R. Prasantha Kumar, recently presented a paper titled “Is Near Always Dear? Role of Cultural Proximity in Investment Decisions in Crowdfunding” at the 3rd International Conference on Alternative Finance Research, held at IMC University, Krems an der Donau, Austria, on June 5-6, 2024.
Sri Raju extended heartfelt gratitude to his co-author, Professor Vijaya Bhushan Marisetty, the current Ambekar Chair Professor at IIM Visakhapatnam, for his unwavering support throughout this research endeavour. He said that he is immensely grateful to the University of Hyderabad for its continuous backing and encouragement.
Mr. Raju interacted with esteemed researchers such as Armin Schwienbacher, Andrew A. Schwartz, and Rotem Shneor which he felt was inspiring and provided valuable insights for his future work.
