The Software Engineering Lab of the School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS), University of Hyderabad (UoH) organized a Prototype Demo Exhibition “Archetype 2025” on November 17, 2025. The exhibition showcased innovative student-led prototypes addressing both national needs and global standards in software engineering and emerging technologies.

The event embodied the University’s motto: “सा विद्या या विमुक्तये” (Knowledge leads to liberation), emphasizing the role of technology in empowering society.

A total of 18 prototypes pertaining to current challenges and needs of the society were exhibited. Students presented working prototypes spanning diverse domains. Each project team provided live demos, explaining requirements, design, development, and testing phases using Agile and Devops approaches. These projects were mentored by Prof. Salman Abdul Moiz, School of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad. Faculty members, researchers, students, and industry guests attended the exhibition. Abhishek Koushik, Anand R and Anjana Rama Murthy from Microsoft, Upendra Prturi & Sai Laxman from Qualcomm, Nagesh Reddy T from Atlassian and Dr. Abdulwasey Mohammed, CEO V-Inspire Foundation interacted with the students and gave their suggestions.

The industry members congratulated the School for taking up this initiative and urged that such activities should be carried out regularly. The event fostered networking among students, faculty, and external stakeholders, encouraging future research partnerships

Prof. Atul Negi, Dean School of Computer Science said that “Archetype event provides a good opportunity for students to interact with industry experts, and helps in demonstrating their creativity. It’s a good effort and should be continued annually”.
