Assis Mon Marcelin, an alumnus of the Department of History, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (2017-2022), has secured a full-time PhD admission and AHRC doctoral studentship at the University of Reading, UK!

Assis has been awarded the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership 2 (SWWDTP) AHRC doctoral studentship, covering full-time international tuition fees and a tax-free stipend of approximately £19,237 annually for 3 years and 8 months.

Assis will pursue his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Richard Blakemore and Dr. Rohan Deb Roy at the Department of History, School of Humanities. We commend his perseverance and commitment to historical research!
