Ms. Sumi Rana, PhD Student (PMRF) of the Department of Plant Sciences, School of Life Sciences, working under the supervision of Dr. M. Muthamilarasan, has won the Best Oral Presentation Award in the ‘International Conference on Millets: Breeding, Physiology, Genomics, Biotechnology, and Nutraceuticals-2023 (ICM-BPGBN-2023)’ held at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kochi, Kerala (July 5-7, 2023).
Sumi works on improving the nutritional bioavailability of foxtail millet using genome editing approaches.
