Dr Debu Jana, a former PhD student of the School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad, who worked under the supervision of Prof. Samar Kumar Das, has been awarded the prestigious JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) fellowship for his postdoctoral research at Hiroshima University, Japan, under the supervision of Prof. Osamu Ishitani.

As part of this prestigious fellowship, Dr Jana will undertake research on “Photocatalytic Reduction of low-Concentration Carbon Dioxide.” This fellowship provides him with an excellent opportunity to pursue cutting-edge research and make meaningful contributions to the field of science. At Hiroshima University, Dr Jana will have access to state-of-the-art- research facilities, advanced scientific environment. During his doctoral research, he primarily worked on the homogeneous and heterogeneous electrocatalytic applications of polyoxometalates and developed considerable expertise in this field.
