This study is to know and analyse where our country stands in terms of providing music education in schools compared to the Western countries. It is shocking to know that there are lot of gaps in our education system that speaks about lack of commitment from the Government, NCERT, Boards like CBSE, ICSE and schools like Kendriya Vidyalayas, JNVs and other schools that are run by state and the centre. If music education is not continued then the future generations will be deprived of arts, aesthetics and cultural experience.
