Prof. E. Venkatesu, Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) delivered a public talk in the two days national conference organised by the Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India at Government City College, Hyderabad from 3-4 January 2024.

The conference was held on Trilingual Glossary of Political Science. Prof. E. Venkatesu, while addressing on ‘ Constitution, Electoral Politics and Policy Process’ to the faculty members of Political Science from Universities and Degree Colleges, said that the political process in India from colonialism to clienteleism has immensely contributed a lot for the study of political science as a discipline. He illustrated certain terms and concepts such as colonialism, nationalism, constitutionalism, competitive dominant party system, coalition politics, electoral authoritarianism, ethnic democracy supply and demand driven public policies etc. He traced out the origin and application of the new Terminology in the process of practicing the Electoral democracy for the last 75 years.

The conference was coordinated by Dr. Bhaskar, Government City College and Dr. Sajjad Ansari from the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
