The School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS), University of Hyderabad (UoH) in collaboration with Internet Society (ISOC), Hyderabad chapter organized a one-day event on Global Encryption Day 2024. Dean, SCIS Prof. Atul Negi welcomed the participants and said with evolving Quantum Computing and Quantum Attacks such Events are in much need of the hour.

ISOC President K.Mohan Raidu, in his inaugural remarks said that the importance of encryptions is increased to ensure integrity as there is immense growth in Cyber Security and added  that now encryption has to become a Fundamental Right.

University of Hyderabad, Vice Chancellor Prof. B.J. Rao  appreciated the efforts of the organisers as such sessions help us to know the privacy needs and create Digital social awareness . He suggested Mathematicians and Security experts should look into various security needs by means of encryption, Cryptography, Quantum communication and be prepared for the next 20-30 years.

The inaugural program ended with a vote of thanks from the event coordinator Prof. N. Rukma Rekha and technical sessions followed.
