The Indira Gandhi Memorial Library (IGML), University of Hyderabad, in collaboration with MyLOFT, organised an online workshop titled “How to Access the E-books, E-journals, and Online Databases of IGM Library Through Remote Login and Mobile App” on 27 November 2025 via Google Meet.
The session witnessed active participation from around 90 faculty members and research scholars, who joined to gain hands-on guidance on accessing the library’s digital resources remotely. Participants were introduced to effective navigation of various publisher platforms and subject-specific databases, the use of discovery tools and federated search services, and best practices for retrieving, saving, and organising digital content.
The workshop also highlighted key features of the MyLOFT mobile app, including personalised dashboards, saved searches, alerts, and seamless access to e-books, e-journals, and databases. These demonstrations offered valuable insights into enhancing research, teaching, and learning activities beyond the physical campus.
An interactive Q&A session allowed participants to clarify queries related to remote access and optimise their use of the library’s e-resources. IGML encourages all users to make full use of remote access services to stay connected with the University’s digital scholarly content.
