The Entrepreneurship Cell, also known as E-Cell, organised an orientation program for the student community at the University of Hyderabad. The program was conducted on September 6, 2025, at the ASPIRE Networking Centre.
The session began with a talk by Dr. Anil Kondreddy, CEO of ASPIRE-BioNEST. He introduced ASPIRE and its mission of translating the University of Hyderabad’s knowledge base into tangible products and services through incubation and entrepreneurship. ASPIRE is a premier deeptech incubation ecosystem at the University of Hyderabad, supporting start-ups through its three incubators: ASPIRE-BioNEST for life sciences, ASPIRE-TBI for chemistry, pharma, and renewable energy, and ASPIRE-TIDE for IT, electronics, and communications. Dr. Kondreddy also explained the entrepreneurial journey of an innovator and highlighted the opportunities available to the university students through ASPIRE’s pre-incubation program. The interactive session saw students engaging with him to seek clarity about the avenues for student-led innovations and the support mechanisms offered by ASPIRE.
In the second part of the session, the organisers introduced the audience to Igniters E-Cell, a student-led initiative spearheaded by Adesh Patel from the Department of Economics and Abhimanyu Kumar from the Department of Physics. The E-Cell is designed to foster academic innovation, support student entrepreneurs, and connect aspiring innovators with industry experts.
Its mission is to provide essential resources, expert mentorship, and strategic opportunities that encourage innovation, skill development, and entrepreneurial success in today’s competitive landscape. The vision of the E-Cell is to build a vibrant entrepreneurial culture that nurtures innovators committed to driving meaningful change across industries and communities.
The orientation programme laid out a clear roadmap for aspiring entrepreneurs, demonstrating how the E-Cell will guide students through every stage of their journey—from idea generation to implementation and validation—while also offering mentorship opportunities and exposure to funding opportunities.
