Based on data compiled and studied by Jeroen Baas, Kevin Boyack and John P.A. Ioannidis of Stanford University, Elsevier and SciTech Strategies, and published in the highly respected journal PLOS Biology, 4 researchers from UoH  are in the list of top researchers. The list has been prepared  based on the citation impact of the work carried out during  2020, and includes those researchers who are among the top 1,00,000 across all fields, or a percentile rank of 2% or above, mainly based on the SCOPUS data studied for the year.

They are Prof. Ashok Karumuri (Centre for Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences);  Bhalekar Sachin (Maths & Statistics); Jayananda Mudlappa (Centre for Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences) and Reddy Attipalli R (School of Life Sciences) former faculty and presently Emeritus Professor. A total of 24 researchers have made it to this coveted list. It may be recalled that 22 researchers from the UoH have also appeared in the list of top scientists whose  publications statistics studied for ten years featured them in a similar coveted list based on career-based impact.
