Shri Nrupendra Rao, CHAIRMAN, Pennar Group delivered a lecture on the lessons learnt from Vivekananda as part of the Distinguished Lecture series of the University of Hyderabad.
Shri Rao articulated the message of Swami Vivekananda and the lessons that the students and everybody alike can be drawn from his life. He touched upon six messages. Firstly, self confidence as the most important characteristic for an individual. Swami Vivekananda called upon people not to blame others for the situation in which one is placed, rather develop self confidence to defend self.
Second, he also called upon the youth and students to dream and dream big and exploit the opportunity to achieve something big in life. An individual must dream to be the best in their given situation and better than anyone. The speaker elaborated this with examples which touch the daily life of youth/students in the modern era.
Third, he dwelt on the whole attitude of questioning. Taking clue from the message of Vivekananda, he called upon the youth and students to ask the right questions to seek the right solutions in the journey of success.
Fourth, he spoke about the role of positive thinking and its importance in the corporate world. This is taken from what Swami Vivekananda spoke about fearlessness as an important ingredient in life- do know wrong, don’t fear- a maxin very important in this world of speed.
The next lesson to be looked at from swamiji was choosing the right path towards success. The means as very important than the end and its significance to the contemporary world of integrity and honesty was stressed by him. The message was clear, articulated in a very simple way, with examples that are close to everyday life. The presentation with visuals and videos made the message of hope and opportunity from the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda very inspirational, educative and enlightening.
