Prof. Ramesh Mishra, Head, Center for Neural and Cognitive Sciences (CNCS), School of Medical Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been invited to deliver the keynote lecture at the prestigious conference Quo vadis psychology: the Mengzi series, at Shandong Normal University (SNU) between the 29th – 31st of October 2024.
He has been invited by Prof. Bernhard Hommel, an influential cognitive scientist and currently the director of the Department of Psychology at SNU. Prof. Mishra will lecture on the topic of current status of psychology in the world and also participate in a panel discussion. The Mengzi lectures are conducted in the honor of the influential 4th century Chinese philosopher Confucius who hailed from Jinan, the province in which SNU is located. Prof. Mishra has been invited to deliver this keynote lecture in recognition of his contributions towards cognitive science and literacy. He will also visit and interact with the academics at universities of Beijing and Shanghai as a part of this tour of China.
Benaifer Fernandes, who worked as material development manger with Prof. Mishra in the European commission’s Erasmus+ capacity building grant, has also been invited to participate in a panel discussion on research management in literacy and cognitive science and will visit China. She has long experience in scientific grant management and is pursuing research in behavioral science.
