Model United Nations Conference successfully concluded at University of Hyderabad on 30 July 2024 with students actively participating in large numbers on the theme “Lifestyle for Environment Initiative (LiFE),” focused on “Green Horizons: Navigating the Clean Energy Transition.” Under the vision Viksit Bharath by 2047, It has been initiated by the University Grants Commission, Government of India. In this event young minds converged to simulate the complex workings of international relations, discussion pressing global issues, and provided solutions through dialogue and collaboration.


Faculty Coordinator Dr. Krishna Reddy Chittedi, Associate professor, University of Hyderabad said that The Model United Nations (MUN) is more than just an academic exercise; it is a training ground for future global citizens who recognize the value of empathy, cooperation, and constructive debate. In an increasingly interconnected world, MUN-developed skills and values are indispensable.

Students opined that Participating in the Model United Nations event was a valuable learning experience that helped me improve my diplomacy, public speaking, and collaboration skills. Participating in meaningful debates with diverse delegates broadened my perspective on global issues and inspired a strong desire for international cooperation and problem solving. Dr Prajna Paramita Mishra, Dr M Nagaraju and Dr Alok kumar Pandy also addressed the students during sessions

The Chairperson for the committee was Mr. Abhijay Rambabu, with Ms Sahithy Kiran serving as Vice Chairperson and Mr. Madhu Kumar served has  Rappoteur. The organizing committee members are Gajwell Venkatesh, Shraddha Kishor Kumbhare, T. Meghana, Rahul Rathod , Arundhati Vasanth, Jaya Sinha,  Tejaswinee, T Monali, Sahithy, Madhu, Abhijay.

 The event was supported by volunteers Mr. Premjeet and Miss Swetha, and Mr. Sharan Burugoju.

  3. Merit – Delegates of Ukraine (Mr. Krishna Chaitanya/Mr. Shreyan Kompally).
