Advisories are issued by the UGC from time to time regarding the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 to provide a safe and secure environment at the workplace.
UGC has also conveyed the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and circulated by the Ministry of Education regarding the placement of Billbords showing the penal consequences of sexual harassment and also displaying the toll free numbers and committed phone numbers and other relevent information on the Billboards.
Accordingly, the Internal Complaints Committee, UoH took appropriate action in this regard and 10 different Billboards disseminating the relevant information were put up in 10 strategic locations in the UoH campus on 16 February 2026 to create awareness and to disseminate information, according to the directives of the UGC.
