The Entrepreneur Zone (TEZ) and Technology Business Incubator (TBI) University of Hyderabad UoH, awarded certification to their 3rd batch of budding entrepreneurs/startups who successfully completed the 6-month Program on Entrepreneurship Development jointly offered by TEZ/TBI.
Dr. Nandita Sethi, MD, TEZ spoke about the joint Entrepreneurship Program and the startups that have successfully launched through it. Prof Venkata Ramana, coordinator, TBI, spoke about the role of the Incubator at UoH, in facilitating high-end research in startups. Gr. Cpt. Phillora, Head, Design Prototyping Centre, ESCI, showcased the prototyping facilities at ESCI. Star Entrepreneur Talks were organised on the occasion where well known entrepreneurs spoke on different aspects of Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Pradeep Mittal, President TiE, spoke about an Entrepreneur’s journey, the varied challenges and what it means to take this path. Mr. Ramesh Loganathan, Prof. Co-Innovation & Research, IIIT, spoke about the evolving startup eco-system in Hyderabad and how startups should network for getting more traction. Mr. Srini Chandupatla, Hyderabad Angels, told startups what they should not be doing to avoid costly mistakes. Rakesh Bhatia, Managing Partner, Beyond Strategy & mentor/coach, spoke about the Budget 2017 and what’s in it for startups. He also spoke about the initiatives under Startup India.
The program ended with a few startups pitches by the founders of launched ventures through this program. ikvox, EnGrip, MahiRuham, SnapLoan, Knots & Boots, Playhunt, SellersQ, Hellodoc, Heritage Weaves, Greenville are some of the startups launched through the initiatives. The program brought out the relevance of mentoring/training and industry-academia interface in starting and sustaining new ventures.
