Sreenath Korangath, an alumnus from the 2022 batch of the Integrated Master’s in Chemical Sciences (IMSc) at the School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been selected for a fully funded international Master’s programme at the Complex Systems Chemistry (CSC) Graduate School, University of Strasbourg, France. The institution holds an international rank of #1 for its research exposure in Systems Chemistry.
Sreenath completed eight semesters at UoH under the academic provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP), opting for an exit pathway to earn a B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Chemistry in May 2026. He graduated with First Division with Distinction, securing a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 8.58 out of 10. During his final year, he completed a research thesis under the supervision of Dr. Vinayakumar Kanchupalli at the School of Chemistry, working on transition-metal-catalysed C–H activation and annulation reactions aimed at synthesizing value-added molecules for pharmacological applications.
The two-year international Master’s fellowship awarded to Sreenath includes complete tuition fee waivers, a monthly stipend of €850 for 24 months (totalling €20,400), and full reimbursement for international travel and visa processing expenses. Furthermore, successful completion of the programme offers a pathway to transition into a fully funded three-year Ph.D. program in Systems Chemistry at the same institution.
Expressing appreciation for his academic training, Sreenath credited the faculty at the School of Chemistry and the research ecosystem at UoH for laying a strong foundation for his global academic pursuits.
