Ritik Lalan, an alumnus of Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH), who pursued MA Sociology from here as part of Batch 2022-2024 and was ICC-GSCASH representative (PG) for Students’ Union, has received a fully-funded PhD at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in socio-cultural anthropology.

Her research interests lie in anthropology of state/bureaucracy, politics of gender (re)classification and structural violence with a focus on queer-translives.
