Mr. S. Bavajan, pursuing a Ph.D. program under the supervision of Prof. G. Bhuvaneswara Lakshmi and co-supervision of Dr. Ravula Krishnaiah, Department of Education and Educational Technology, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad participated in and presented a research paper at the 24th International Consortium for Social Development (ICSD) Biennial Conference. The conference, themed “Innovations in Social Work and Social Development for Sustainable Change,” was held January 8-10, 2025, at Rajagiri Business School in Kakkanad, Cochin, Kerala, India.
The review paper titled ‘Educational Violence Against Girls and Children at Home: A Comprehensive Review’ focuses on the incidence and forms of domestic violence against females and children in the home and examines the extensive effects of this violence on individuals’ academic success, mental health, and future prospects. This study examined the underlying causes and sustaining elements of this worrying occurrence, including deeply rooted gender stereotypes, socioeconomic inequalities, and deficient legal frameworks. The measures and laws implemented to stop educational violence in domestic settings are critically reviewed in this study, with both achievements and problems highlighted.
