As part of the programme, about 90 M.Sc. Chemistry students from various colleges and universities across Telangana state received hands-on training in organic synthesis and the characterization of organic compounds using advanced analytical techniques. The programme was designed to enhance the practical skills and employability of postgraduate chemistry students and prepare them for career opportunities in the pharmaceutical and related industries. More than 60 students have already secured placements in a leading pharmaceutical company, while the remaining selection processes are currently underway.

A dedicated team of faculty members of organic chemistry and research scholars from the School of Chemistry played a key role in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of the programme. The programme reflects the commitment of School of Chemistry towards the empowerment of students of less-endowed institutions. Furthermore, the revenue generated through this programme demonstrates School of Chemistry’s efforts towards achieving financial self-sustainability.

The Dean of the School of Chemistry and the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad appreciated the team for their excellent work.
