The NSS Cell, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has organised Shramdaan activity at a pond near by White Rocks in the south campus on 9th September 2024 in coordination with the Sanitation department, UoH.
The volunteers and the workers of the Sanitation department collected the plastic water bottles, bags, glass bottles, and their broken pieces that were lying around in garbage bags and made the surroundings neat.
The misuse of the space at the white rock and pond is resulting in injury to the wild animals and birds.
Dr. B. Krishnaiah, Coordinator, NSS, UoH and Dr. Bhimsingh, Programme Officer, NSS, UoH appealed to the university community who visit the rock and pond, not to spoil the beautiful surroundings by littering it with glass bottles, water bottles, and plastic bags etc.
He said that the protection of ecological balance is everyone’s responsibility for the happy and safe living of the university community.
