Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The official journey of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on 12th March 2021 which started a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end on 15th August 2023.
In accordance with the directive from the Ministry of Education, the University organised a program on Importance of Millets in daily Life titled, “Small but mighty: Discover the power of Millets” at the University Guest Hose on 14th August 2023.
Prof. RS Sarraju, Pro Vice Chancellor called upon all to make use of Millets in the diet for a healthy living. Dr. Devesh Nigam, Registrar while encouraging all to respect our culture and traditions told the guest house staff to take utmost care of the guests at the university in the true sprit of Athithi Devo Bhava.
About 200 faculty, students, officials and staff participated in this event organised under the guidance of Joint Registrar, Shri A Srinivas Rao, with the able support of the guest house staff and savored the sweet delicacy prepared from a mix of millets.
