A team from the Southern Regional Language Centre of the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore has visited the Department of Telugu, and Centre for Endangered Languages and Mother Tongue Studies, School of Humanities on 25-03-2024 as part of their educational tour. The team comprises of six Telugu teacher/researcher trainees led by Dr. M. Satyanarayana, from SRLC-CIIL.
During the interaction, the teacher/researcher trainees informed that they are from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu states and are teaching Telugu as second language in their respective schools and colleges. The trainees interacted with the faculty members of the department, and shared their experiences with regard to second language teaching. The faculty members explained the team new ways and techniques in language teaching.
Prof. Darla Venkateswara Rao, Head, Department of Telugu, Prof. Pammi Pavan Kumar, Head, Centre for Endangered Languages and Mother Tongue Studies coordinated the interactive session.
