15 मार्च को हिंदी विभाग, हैदराबाद विश्वविद्यालय की तरफ से मानविकी संकाय के कांफ़्रेस हॉल में गोंड चित्रकला प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन किया गया। यह प्रदर्शनी मशहूर गोंड चित्रकार पार्वती परस्ते के चित्रों (पेंटिंग्स) पर आधारित थी। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता कर रही हिंदी विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. सी अन्नपूर्णा ने पार्वती परस्ते का स्वागत करते हुए कहा कि पार्वती की पेंटिग्स बहुत अच्छी हैं। हमें भी साहित्य से इतर और भी कलाओं में शिक्षित होना चाहिए। प्रख्यात रंगकर्मी कन्हैया लाल कैथवास ने गोंड जनजाति और उनकी कुछ परम्पराओं के बारे में बात की। ये किस तरह पार्वती परस्ते द्वारा बनाये गए चित्रों में आया है, उसको भी दिखाया। पार्वती परस्ते ने अपने बारे में बताते हुए गोंड चित्रकला पर अपनी बात रखी। उन्होंने बताया कि उनकी पेंटिग्स में प्रकृति, लोक के देवी-देवता, तीज-त्यौहार और शादी-विवाह जैसे विधान में की गई लोक रीतियों का प्रभाव देखने को मिलेगा। उन्होंने पेड़ की पत्तियों के माध्यम से बताया कि उनकी पेंटिंग न सिर्फ़ अन्य चित्रकारों से बल्कि और गोंड चित्रकारों से भी अलग है। कार्यक्रम के संयोजक डॉ भीम सिंह ने बताया कि इन लोककलाओं को बचाना बहुत जरूरी है। हम सब की जिम्मेदारी है कि हम सब आगे आएं। पार्वती परस्ते इस लिहाज़ से बहुत महत्वपूर्ण काम कर रही हैं। धन्यवाद ज्ञापन विनोद मिश्र ने किया। प्रदर्शनी देखने और चित्रकार से बात करने के लिए बड़ी संख्या में कलाप्रेमी उपस्थित रहे।
The Department of Hindi, School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad (UoH) organised a One Day Exhibition on ‘Gond Adivasi Art’ On March 15, 2024 at conference hall School of Humanities. This exhibition was based on the paintings of the famous Gond painter Parvati Paraste followed by an Interactive Session with the artist.
Prof. C Annapurna, Head, Department of Hindi, welcomed Parvati Paraste and said that Parvati’s paintings have deep meaning and are inspiring for new artists. We should aspire to be educated in fine arts other than literature.
Renowned theatre director Kanhaiya Lal Kaithawas talked about the Gond tribe and some of their traditions. How this has appeared in the paintings made by Parvati Paraste was also shown. Parvati Paraste told about herself and expressed her views on Gond painting. She said that in her paintings, the influence of nature, folk deities, Traditional-festivals and folk rituals like weddings can be seen. Other than traditional motifs Parvati Paraste has developed her own way of artistic expressions. She mentioned that her paintings are different not only from painters in general but also from other Gond painters. The Earth Democracy, Environment Concerns and Traditional Heritage reflects in her paintings.
Program coordinator Dr. Bhim Singh said that it is very important to save Adivasi folk arts. It is the responsibility of all of us to come forward. He applauded Parvati Paraste for her phenomenal contribution to Adivasi Gond Art. Prof. Harjinder Singh, IIIT, Prof M Shyam Rao, Dr J Atmaram, Prof Bhagwan Gawade along with a large number of art lovers participated in the exhibition and interacted with the artist. Dr Setu Kumar Verma designed the poster of the program. PhD scholar and young poet Vinod Mishra gave the vote of thanks.
