Thermo Fisher Scientific, a global leader in scientific research solutions, inaugurated a first-of-its-kind Supply Chain Center integrated within a bioincubation ecosystem at ASPIRE-BioNEST, University of Hyderabad. This initiative is part of Thermo Fisher’s broader commitment to supporting Centres of Excellence (CoEs) across India—ASPIRE-BioNEST being one of the four prestigious centers selected for this collaboration.
ASPIRE-BioNEST has been a trailblazer in supporting early-stage biotech startups through advanced laboratory infrastructure, expert mentorship, and a vibrant innovation ecosystem. The establishment of the Supply Center within this CoE further enhances its ability to accelerate R&D, streamline workflows, and supports innovation.

The Supply Center offers direct access to critical laboratory reagents, consumables, and research essentials—delivered as quickly as the same day or by the next working day. This facility brings immense benefit to the incubating startups, faculty at the University of Hyderabad, and researchers from nearby institutions like TIFR, NIAB, IIL, etc. By eliminating long wait times and logistic delays, it empowers scientists to maintain experimental momentum and achieve faster research outcomes.
This development marks a strategic step toward improving research efficiency and fostering deeper industry-academia collaboration. It ensures a responsive and supportive environment for scientific advancement—not only within ASPIRE-BioNEST, but also across the wider research ecosystem in Hyderabad and beyond.
The collaboration between Thermo Fisher Scientific and ASPIRE-BioNEST showcases how global industry leaders and Indian innovation hubs can work together to create meaningful infrastructure that directly accelerates the pace of discovery. As India continues to scale up its capabilities in deep-tech and life sciences, such partnerships are essential to building a globally competitive research and innovation ecosystem.

The facility was formally inaugurated by Prof. Rajagopal, Director, ASPIRE-BioNEST; Ms. Jacqueline Ng, Director of Asia Pacific and Japan, Thermo Fisher Scientific; Mr. Jayabharat Reddy, Director – Commercial, LPD & BID, South Asia; and Dr. Anil Kondreddy, CEO of ASPIRE-BioNEST, along with other key stakeholders from the research and innovation ecosystem.
