The Campus Cultural Center of the University of Hyderabad hosted a mesmerizing musical event, ‘Basant Utsav – Colors of Music,’ on March 8th, 2025. The event featured captivating classical music performances that left the audience spellbound.
Renowned artists Ustad Shafique Khan (sitar) and Pandit Kumar Mardur (Hindustani vocal) took center stage, accompanied by co-artists Ustad Najmuddin Javed and Harijit Singh on tabla, and Sri Rahul Deshpande on harmonium. The concerts were expertly curated by Cultural Coordinator Dr. Aranyakumar.
The event drew a diverse audience, comprising faculty, students, and visitors from outside the university. The attendees were deeply moved by the soul-stirring performances, which showcased the rich cultural heritage of India.
The success of the event was also attributed to the tireless efforts of student and alumni volunteers, including Karan, Dattatreya, Namrata, and others. Kaushik Lahoti expertly anchored the event, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
