Prof. Ramdas Rupavath, Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) is selected for the Distinguished Faculty award by the Venus International Foundation for the year 2023.
The Governing Council of the Venus International Foundation has accepted the recommendations of the Expert Committee and selected Prof. Rupavath for the award in discipline – Humanities and Social Sciences in the category – Distinguished Faculty in Political Science. He will receive the award during the 9th Venus International Contemporary Academic Meet – CAM 2023, scheduled on 15 July 2023 at Green Park, Chennai.
Prof. Ramdas Rupavath’s areas of specialization include Indian political processes, democracy, development, tribal politics, education and politics, pluralism and politics of accommodation and comparative politics in indigenous societies. He did his MA, MPhil and PhD from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
