The International Conference on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Creating Value-based sustainable organizations was organized in collaboration with the Edwards Business School, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad, Academy of Value Based Management (A unit of ISOL) and Department of Management Studies, University of Pondicherry during February 19-21, 2024.
The conference had a total of 106 registrations including academic faculty, research scholars and industry nominees. Thirteen eminent practioners, experts and academicians involved or related to the field of Diversity, Equity and inclusiveness were invited to share their wisdom and expertise.
The keynote speakers in the inaugural session were
- Aquil Busrai, Chief Executive Officer, Aquil Busrai Consulting
- Sandhya Chintala – Executive Director & Vice President, NASSCOM
- Sangita Reddy – Joint Managing Director, Apollo Group of Hospitals
Some of the plenary session speakers included Prof Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, IIM Trichy, Ms. Tina Vinod, Founder and Chief Consultant, Diversity Simplified, Ms. Krishna Hazarika Rao, DGM (PR), Oil India, Assam, Dr. Saundarya Rajesh, Founder & President, Avtar Group, Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Vice Chancellor, RGUKT, Basar, Dr. Sunaina Singh, Former Vice Chancellor, Nalanda University and Ms. G. Srividya Reddy, Chairperson, IWN Telangana.
The outcomes of the conference maybe summarized as follows:
- Two edited volumes of the conference papers published by Taylor & Francis with a total of 78 papers.
- Created awareness among participants about emerging concepts like Care Democracy and recycling of waste.
- Created an opportunity for leaders to design and strategize a DEI policy.
- Identify strategies for promoting wellbeing in organizations.
- Showed a roadmap for creating value-based sustainable organizations.
