Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Sahoo, an alumnus of the Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at School of Liberal Studies, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Prior to joining KIIT University, Dr. Sahoo worked as a Research Associate at the Lok Sabha Research and Information Division, Lok Sabha Secretariat, Parliament of India, New Delhi from 2022-2024.
Dr. Dhirendra completed his Ph.D. in 2024 from Department of Sociology, University of Hyderabad under the supervision of Prof. C. Raghava Reddy. His research interests include Science Technology and Society, Media Culture and Society. His curiosity is to understand the intersection between ICTs and Society and critically explore the question of the digital divide, technology and human interface in a rural milieu.
